This lighthouse on Fisgard Island at the mouth of Esquimalt Harbour in Colwood, British Columbia, was the first lighthouse built on the west coast of Canada. It was first lit in November 1860. I missed that first lighting ceremony but did manage to photograph the lighthouse just after sunset from the Coburg Peninsula, west of Victoria, Canada in July 2016.
Wm Christiansen Photography is about the work and play of Bill and Deb Christiansen. Bill is a photographer, author, and mansplainer. Deb is a publisher, documenter, and rhetorical question asker. Bill was born and raised in Southwest Michigan and has lived in the Schoolcraft area since he married his beautiful wife Deb fifteen years ago.
